EDLIO
For 19 years, Edlio has been providing K–12 educators easy, effective technology to connect their communities. Edlio Websites make managing a beautiful online presence easy while also offering direct messaging. Edlio Pay collects and manages online payments and donations with robust financial reporting.
And Edlio Engage simplifies true family engagement with two-way interaction between school and home. It’s a private social network for your school or your entire district. Teachers own their class(es) and the parents and students assigned to them. Parents gain access to their kid(s)' teacher(s). And school and district administrators get the transparency to see activities across the entire network. Edlio is offering Engage to Region 20 schools and districts free of charge for 4 months, with no commitment to purchase. It is our hope that Engage can help communities stay connected and help facilitate remote learning.

New Threat—Zoombombing
With the increase of schools now using Zoom and other video conferencing applications and websites, not only for staff but for students, we have seen an increase in internet trolls invading public Zoom or other meeting calls (where the invitations are open) and using screen sharing features to takeover a presentation and share graphic content to all participants.
See New York Times article for reference
To mitigate against these attacks, for those hosting large or public group meetings, we strongly encourage hosts to change settings so that only the host can share the screen. For private and small group meetings, be sure password protections are enabled by default and that these are kept on to prevent uninvited users from joining.
