Techtober: Unifying Technology & Instructional Teams for Student Success

 Techtober is Education Service Center, Region 20’s premier educational technology event, uniquely designed to unify and strengthen school district technology and instructional teams. Held onsite at the Frederick E. Maples, Jr. Conference Center, this high-energy event bridges technical infrastructure with instructional strategy to empower educators, tech leaders, and innovators.  

 

Grounded in our Technology Services core values of Clarity, Teamwork, Making a Difference, Problem Solver, and Integrity, we collaborate to deliver top-tier professional development that breaks down departmental silos, showcases local achievements, and explores the future of learning. 

 

Event Overview
  • Dates: October 22 - 23, 2026

  • Format: Sessions & Workshops

    • Day 1 (Oct 22): Opening keynote and dynamic 45-minute breakout sessions and district spotlights.

    • Day 2 (Oct 23): Deep-dive 90-mintue hands-on/intensive workshops.

  • Both Days: Continuous access to the vendor floor, innovation demos, and networking opportunities

 

Techtober 2026 Key Focus Tracks

  • Leadership & Management: Leading teams, guiding district-wide rollouts, managing change, implementing policy, and strategic technology governance.

  • Instructional & Classroom Innovation: AI in education, instructional technology, blended learning, and district esports development.

  • Infrastructure & Technical Security: Network engineering, cybersecurity, data privacy, systems integration, cloud infrastructure, and technical support operations.

 

 

Sponsorship Timeline & Opportunities
We offer a tiered sponsorship structure (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum) featuring exclusive benefits such as booth space, session slots, and meal-time presentations.

  • June: Early-bird forms sent directly from Samantha Palacios to partnered ESC-20 vendors.

  • July: General release via our mass email platform to the main mailing list.

  • August: Final deadline for all sponsorship submissions.
