Mission

The Mission of the public education system of Texas is to ensure that all children have access to a quality education that enables them to achieve their potential and fully participate now and in the future in the social, economic, and educational opportunities of our state and nation. It is further grounded on the conviction that a successful public education system is directly related to a strong, dedicated and supportive family and that parental involvement on the campus is essential for the maximum educational achievement of a child.
 

Vision

The Vision for the Texas system of support is that parents, families, educators, and community members work together as full partners, hold themselves mutually accountable, and have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in improving achievement for all students.
 

Family and Community Engagement Symposium

Please join us for the Family and Community Engagement Symposium, scheduled February 3, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

This symposium provides parents, educators and administrators with information that promotes student success through parent involvement.
Some sessions will be provided in Spanish.
Sessions include topics such as:
  • home/school relationships
  • successful parental involvement development
  • social issues our children encounter
 
The registration fee is $15 and space is limited. Please be aware, the billing contact identified in the registration form will be charged for anyone from your district who registered. Cancellations will not be allowed, but substitutions will be allowed. Registration, once it opens, will remain open until all spaces are full.

2015-2016 Family and Community Engagement Symposium Participation

The 2015-2016 symposium boasted participation from over 425 parents and district staff from across the region.
