Educational Resources Cooperative

The Educational Resources Cooperative includes access for participating ESC-20 districts to a large selection of online resources and to the Living Science Materials Center. Additional benefits for members are detailed below.

Educational Resources Co-op Flyer
  • Districts participating in the Educational Resource Co-op for Public and Open Enrollment Charter Schools receive:
    • Access to TexQuest digital online resources including eight (8) professional development sessions targeting integration. (See below for detailed list.)
    • Access to the Living Science Materials Center with over 100 living specimens and selected TEKS aligned science materials kits. Small mammals, insects, non-venomous snakes, fish, live frogs, plants, flower and vegetable seeds, micro-organisms, preserved specimens, prepared petri dishes, and de-ionized water are examples of available materials.     • Weekly van delivery.
    • Attendance at the regional Library Resource Roundup at a reduced cost to members. The 26th Annual ESC-20 Library Resource Roundup will take place September 20, 2019. Registration will open in mid to late August.

    • Selected professional development workshops at no or reduced cost to members. Registration to open in Connect20 as sessions become available.
    • TexQuest integration workshops at no cost to co-op members include:
      • TexQuest 101
      • TexQuest Learning Conference
      • TexQuest and Diverse Learners
      • TexQuest and CCMR
      • TexQuest and Google
      • TexQuest and the TEKS Resource System
      • TexQuest and ELAR/Social Studies
      • TexQuest and Science (integration of Living Science Materials included)

  • Schools participating in the Educational Resource Co-op for Private Schools receive:
    • Access to Britannica School elementary, middle, and high school level digital online resources plus two resources in Spanish. Also included are two (2) professional development sessions targeting integration. (See below for detailed list.)
    • Access to the Living Science Materials Center with over 100 living specimens and selected TEKS aligned science materials kits. Small mammals, insects, non-venomous snakes, fish, live frogs, plants, flower and vegetable seeds, micro-organisms, preserved specimens, prepared petri dishes, and de-ionized water are examples of available materials.   • Districts participating in the Educational Resources Co-op are invited and encouraged to incorporate living science materials into day-to-day teaching activities. Living Science materials include over 100 living specimens! Small mammals (hamsters, rats, mice and gerbils), non-poisonous snakes, fish, live frogs, plants, flower and vegetable seeds, micro-organisms, preserved specimen, prepared petri dishes and de-ionized water may be ordered in participating districts at no cost to teachers.Living Science logo

  • Access to Facts On File online resources for an additional fee - a package of 11 resources (available to renewing subscribers only).

    Includes American History Online (also American Woman's History plus US Government), Modern World History, Ancient and Medieval History, African American History, American Indian History, Bloom's Literary Reference, Curriculum Resource Center, Science Online (includes Biomes of the Earth, Energy and the Environment, Essential Chemistry, Genetics and Evolution, Global Warming, Green Technology, The Human Body: How it Works, Physics in Action, and The Plant World), Health Reference Center, World Geography and Culture, and Ferguson's Career Guidance Center.

  • ESC-20 provides weekly van delivery services to all ESC-20 districts participating in the Educational Resources Cooperative.
