Champions of Literacy

Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, ESC-20 began the Champions of Literacy series where we welcome renowned authors to the service center for a day of learning. Participants join these authors for a full day of professional development and will receive a copy of their book with the cost of registration.

    Building a Balanced Literacy Block Grades K-2

    This five-day institute will focus on understanding and implementing a Balanced Literacy framework in the K-2 ELAR classroom. Components and topics to be covered include interactive read alouds, shared reading, guided reading, interactive writing, literacy stations, classroom management, and progress monitoring.
