New employees are very important to us and, for this reason, a program of support has been established. Supporting A Quality Workforce is a mentor program that provides orientation training for new employees and mentor training for veteran staff members. Our goal is to bring you into our community in such a way that you have a clear vision of what ESC-20 is all about. The purpose of our mentor program is to:
  • acclimate new employees to the Center's culture;
  • reinforce Center expectations;
  • promote a supportive work environment; and,
  • build relationships within the workplace.
As a new employee, you have been assigned a mentor who will strive to make your transition through your first year at the Center a positive experience. It is our hope that you will find this a valuable, professional relationship.
Because our mentor program is multifaceted, you will have many other colleagues and supervisors who will be willing to help springboard you to success. Support is a team effort; therefore, we welcome the role that you too will play in this endeavor.

Prior to your first day:
  • Review the Forms, Benefits, and Information tabs below
On your first day:
  • Report to Building 6, Ground floor, at your assigned time
  • Bring the following items below:
    • Your Social Security card, driver's license or other ID documents listed on reverse of I-9
    • Voided check for direct deposit
    • Original college transcript of your highest degree or a copy of your high school diploma/GED certificate
    • Teacher Service Record (if applicable)
  • Expect an orientation including an introduction to the entire Human Resource Services staff, a tour of the Center's Intranet, and a benefits presentation.
