Bexar PREP - Day 2

Creating Cultural Responsiveness and Perspectives on Leadership

October 19, 2017

Cultural responsiveness is a critical concept for leaders and is essential in urban schools.  What is it and how do you achieve it?  This session will include multiple perspectives in defining this concept.  Dr. Kimberly McLeod will share her research findings and a number of case studies with participants. The afternoon session will begin with a student panel consisting of high school age students from across the region.  The day will wrap up with panel discussions with San Antonio area practitioners.  These discussions will include area superintendents, campus principals, and Institutes of Higher Education faculty from San Antonio area Universities.  Discussions will focus on the unique attributes of effective leaders.
