Results Driven Accountability

 

Formerly Known as: 

Performance Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS)

Education Service Center, Region 20, assists LEAs with Results Driven Accountability (Performance Based Monitoring).  This includes training and technical assistance for any LEA in the region.

2019-2020 RDA - For Fall 2019

RDA - Anticipated Timeline

  • Confidential/Unmasked Reports:  Fall 2019 RDA (PBMAS) Reports were posted to TEASE Accountability in late summer

  • Masked/Public Reports:  
    *Update 12/5/19: 

    The Results Driven Accountability (RDA) reports for LEAs were posted in the TEAL Accountability application.  The access for the accountability application is typically with the Superintendent, so if you don’t have direct access to it, find the correct individual to review your report.  This should be in ISAM later this week or early next week.

  • Staging: Results Driven Accountability will not refer to staging but simply "Performance Levels". Each of the 4 Federal Program Areas reported in RDA will receive a Program Performance Level based on the performance level of the indicators in that program area.   

  • Interventions: Will be monitored by the TEA Review and Support Division. The Review and Support Division has indicated that any LEA with a program area receiving a performance level of 2, 3 or 4 will submit a district plan.* The new term for this plan will be the Strategic Support Plan and will be due February 1, 2019. This document will be available as a fillable PDF that will be uploaded into ISAM this year (see RDA Interventions Documents do the right for the template.

As in the past, all indicators with performance levels of 2 and above need to analyzed., TEA has communicated the following:

"Prior to ISAM release, districts are encouraged to begin the continuous improvement process utilizing this new data set to prepare for the development of their district targeted improvement plan. LEAs should begin analyzing data for each PBMAS indicator with a performance level (PL) above 2. It is important that LEAs identify specific campuses contributing to areas of low performance and target those campuses for interventions, as appropriate. LEAs should use multiple data sources to examine areas that may have an impact on the effectiveness of their programs."

*LEAs will have the option of using the:

  • Strategic Support Plan Template,
  • the Targeted Improvement Plan Template used by PBMAS previously or
  • a locally developed template as long as all elements of the Strategic Support Plan are included.

Training:   ESC 20 will conduct a training session to go over each of the indicators in the four program areas evaluated in Results Driven Accountability (Bilingual/ ESL; CTE; ESSA and SPED) on December 19, 2019. Session information is linked below. There will be a morning session where the information is shared with the meeting room made available in the afternoon for teams to begin planning. The session will be available via webinar for the morning content.
