July 2024

New Teacher Series: Getting Started (PK Guidelines + Best Practices)

This three-day session provides a comprehensive look at prekindergarten instruction. Each of the 10 interactive modules were developed to target key areas of prekindergarten preparation and learning, through hands-on, minds-on, instruction. Teachers will experience multiple lessons and will have opportunities to practice lessons and activities that can be immediately implemented in the classroom. Additionally, teachers will engage in classroom setup and plan for the first 30 days. A total of 18 CPE Hours will be awarded. The Getting Started Manual will be provided. MODULES: Best Practices, Mathematics, Phonological Awareness, Alphabet Knowledge, Language Development, Book Reading, Written Expression.

VIRTUAL Pre-K Circle Progress Monitoring

 
The CIRCLE Progress Monitoring training will provide an overview for preschool teachers who will use the CIRCLE Progress Monitoring tool is housed on the CLI Engage website. The C-PM tool enables Pre-K teachers to quickly assess a child’s progress in different skill areas and provides reports that provide child data for teachers to use for lesson planning that target their students’ least developed skills.
