This professional development session will focus on elementary grades K-5 RLA TEKS. This session will provide practical tools and strategies for planning RLA lessons utilizing the Instructional Focus Document (IFD) as well as other components found in TEKS Resource System (TRS). We will utilize backwards planning for the Performance Assessments (PA) to determine students’ knowledge and skills needed for mastery. Participants in this session will gain a deep understanding of the components of the TEKS Resource System (TRS) found in TCMPC. They will also work collaboratively to develop sample lesson plans, explore resources, and discuss best practices for implementation.
