Join us for ESC-20's School Finance Academy - a hands-on, in-depth learning experience designed specifically for professionals in K-12 school finance.

The School Finance Academy: Foundations is designed specifically for individuals who are new to school finance roles - including new Chief Financial Officers, Business Managers, and aspiring school finance leaders. Whether you are building foundational knowledge or strengthening your confidence in school finance operations, this Academy provides practical, hands-on guidance and a deeper understanding of the processes that support effective financial management in school systems. Participants engage in 10 full days of comprehensive training that introduce key school finance concepts, compliance requirements, and operational best practices. Through interactive learning and real-world examples, the Academy builds the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully support school district financial operations.

 

Cost: $5,000 for up to 2 team members from each Local Education Agency (LEA)/School System

The School Finance Academy: Next Level is the second stage in the School Finance Academy learning pathway, designed for school finance professionals who are ready to build on their foundational knowledge and further develop their expertise. The Academy maintains a strong focus on deepening school finance knowledge and application, while introducing key leadership and communication skills that support effective practice. 

 

Participants engage in 6 full days of focused learning that expand their understanding of school finance operations and strengthen their ability to apply that knowledge in more complex, real-world situations. In addition, participants are introduced to practical strategies for communicating with staff, district leaders, and school boards, as well as approaches that support collaboration, organizational health, and informed financial decision-making. Completion of the School Finance Academy: Foundations is required to participate in this next-level experience. 

 

Cost: $3,000 for up to 2 team member from each Local Education Agency (LEA)/School System
