G/T Professional Learning Courses & Registration
This is your centralized resource for mandatory G/T training sessions, annual updates, and technical assistance required under the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. Use the table below to find our current course listings and register for foundational and update training. ESC-20 Advanced Academics Services strives to be the definitive choice in Professional Learning that supports our students with equity and access to advanced-level programs. Our passion is to cultivate effective strategies in student engagement practices, curricular support, and respond to the intellectual, social, and emotional needs of our high ability students.
ESC-20 offers five courses that count toward the required G/T 30 hours. Each course counts as six hours of G/T credit. All courses may be taken, or only particular courses within the series may be taken, as needed. In addition, there are several courses offered throughout which are specifically designed for Six-Hour Updates (for teachers who already have their required G/T 30 hours).
The sessions are offered in a variety of formats including - After School Sessions, In-person, Asynchronous Sessions and Virtual Sessions
Asynchronous G/T 30-Hour Foundational Training
This series is required for teachers seeking their initial G/T 30 hours.
Spring Session 1
To support your success, we encourage those who plan to work on coursework during the holiday break to register early. Enrollments submitted after Thursday, December 18 will not be activated until ESC Region 20 returns from Winter Break on January 5. Thank you for planning ahead and supporting a smooth start to your learning experience.
