If you have a complaint regarding the LEAD20 program, it is suggested you contact your Leadership Consultantto discuss your concern. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached by working with your Leadership Consultant, you may request a complaint form and submit your complaint in writing to the Program Coordinator who will schedule a meeting to discuss your concern. If you are unable to resolve your concern at this level, it is recommended to contact the ESC-20 Certification Officer to seek remedy.
If you are unable to resolve a complaint with the Cohort of Leadership Associates program the Texas Education Agency may be contacted by visiting the TEA Complaints Management page of the Texas Education Agency Website.
Educators must undergo a criminal history background check prior to employment as an educator. You may request a Preliminary Criminal History Evaluation from TEA only if:
You are enrolled or planning to enroll in an educator preparation program or you are planning to take a certification exam for initial educator certification, and
You have reason to believe that you may be ineligible for educator certification due to a conviction or deferred adjudication for a felony or misdemeanor offense.
