NEW Applications open for Year 3! CS Pipeline: Certification Project for EC-12 Technology Applications and 8-12 Computer Science
Earn a Stipend While Pursuing Computer Science or Tech Apps Certification!
Education Service Center, Region 20, is excited to announce the launch of the CS Pipeline Certification Project in collaboration with WeTeach_CS! This project is designed to support teachers who are interested in pursuing EC-12 Technology Applications or 8-12 Computer Science Certification.
What's Included:
- The cohort will run from February 2026 through December 2026
- Participants will have their certification exam fees reimbursed, regardless of passing status.
- A majority of the face-to-face activities will take place during the summer, with some hybrid and weekend face-to-face requirements in the spring and fall semesters.
- The program offers generous stipends and potential certification bonuses from WeTeach_CS (see program outline and requirements for details).

- Enhance their curriculum and instruction with best practices in technology and computer science education.

Technology Applications TEKS
ESC-20 partners with WeTeach_CS, headquartered at UT Austin, to provide training for Code.org curriculum resources. Free elementary teacher training is available year round at school districts upon request. Contact Susan Reeves for additional information.
Training for middle and high school teachers who will be utilizing the Code.org free curriculum is provided in the summer, with quarterly school-year follow-up sessions. Information on the application process for middle and high school teachers is here.
