Welcome to the ESC-20 TIA Targeted Regional Support site. We are dedicated partners in helping your district successfully launch, implement, and sustain a thriving local designation system focused on student growth and retention of highly effective teachers. As a state-designated TEA Targeted Regional Support provider, we bring specialized expertise to ensure your system is compliant, effective, and built for the long term.

Our services are available to districts at no cost through the TEA Regional Support Grant.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was established with the goal of providing outstanding teachers an accessible pathway to a six-figure salary. Unlike previous education programs, the Teacher Incentive Allotment is not a grant. Through approved local designation systems, districts can identify and designate outstanding teachers based on student growth and classroom observation. Employing designated teachers generates extra funding for districts to reward top performers.

TIA's Vision and Impact: The Teacher Incentive Allotment is more than just a grant; it is a sustainable, legislative model designed to elevate the teaching profession in Texas.
  • The Goal: Provide an accessible pathway for effective teachers to earn a six-figure salary without leaving the classroom.
  • The Scale: TIA funding has grown rapidly, reaching over $481 million in allotments to over 809 districts for the 2024-25 school year.
  • The Result: TIA designated teachers show increased retention in their districts compared to their non-designated peers.
