Texas Education Technology Leaders (formerly Texas K-12 CTO Council) is a chapter of the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) and is the premier organization for technology leaders in Texas K-12 school districts. The purpose of this initiative is to provide immediate solutions to protect LEAs from major cyber incidents, such as ransomware. Priority will be given to rural LEAs, and cybersecurity practitioners will be available at your regional education service center to assist with implementation of cybersecurity controls that fall within scope of this initiative.  The Exchange is built to serve all PreK-12 districts in Texas and will unite disparate data sources to give educators the insights they need to improve student outcomes. The Exchange will also streamline state reporting to allow educators to focus on improving their schools.  The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) serves as a pivotal hub for delivering technology solutions to state and local government entities in Texas. Through purchasing support, policy insights, strategic IT direction, cybersecurity analysis, and technology procurement assistance, DIR empowers government entities with reliable and secure technology. CISA offers an array of free resources and tools, such as technical assistance, exercises, cybersecurity assessments, free training, and more.
