Strategic Staffing

Strategic Staffing services support school districts by addressing teacher shortages through the implementation of strategic staffing models through year-long, paid teacher residencies. Through a partnership with educator preparation programs, this model strategically places aspiring teachers in high-need schools, ensuring they receive hands-on experience. This approach not only strengthens the teacher pipeline but also builds district capacity by cultivating well-prepared, committed educators who are ready to meet the needs of their communities.
Staffing services include a comprehensive set of supports designed to help school districts and educator preparation programs implement and sustain high-quality, scalable year-long teacher residencies. 
 
These services include:
  • Program Design & Implementation Support: Guidance in developing and structuring residency models that align with district needs and certification pathways.

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Facilitation of collaboration between school districts and Education Preparation Programs to co-design shared goals, roles, and responsibilities.

  • Recruitment and Selection Support: Tools and best practices for identifying, selecting, and matching high-quality residents and mentor teachers.

  • Funding Strategy Consultation: Assistance in identifying and leveraging funding sources (e.g., grants, stipends, federal or state initiatives) to support stipends.

  • Residency Implementation Coaching: Ongoing technical assistance to support effective residency design, mentor-resident collaboration, and gradual release of teaching responsibilities.

  • Professional Development: Aligned training for mentor teachers, residents, and district leaders focused on co-teaching strategies and instructional effectiveness.

  • Data and Continuous Improvement: Support in developing systems for collecting, analyzing, and using data to improve residency outcomes and inform staffing decisions.
