Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)

The Leadership Development Team provides support, training, and technical assistance to Region 20 districts on the teacher evaluation system that encourages more frequent, timely, formative feedback and that incorporates multiple indicators of success, including measures of student learning. Region 20, in partnership with district and independent consultants, will train all campus and district leadership responsible for evaluating educators utilizing the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS).

This training supports Professional Goals for the following T-PESS Indicators:  

1B 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D 3A, 3C 4A

Fee: $500 for 3 days of face-to-face/virtual training

Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) is a 3-day research-based training required for teacher appraisers, who do not have ILD or ILT certifications, along with T-TESS evaluation training.

Impact Coaching

In this two-day workshop participants will learn and apply specialized coaching skills, tools, and competencies to utilize in the T-TESS and T-PESS observation cycles or any conversation about teaching and learning. These coaching principles ultimately serve as the foundation in cultivating a campus and district culture of self-directed growth, development and support. 

This training supports Professional Goals for the following T-PESS Indicators:  

2A, 2B 3A, 3B, 3C 4A, 4B  

Fee: $250 for 2 days of face-to-face/virtual training

Student Learning Objectives (SLO) is one method by which districts and campuses can measure student growth connected to the state teacher evaluation system known as T-TESS.  Intended audience for this training is district administrators, principals, assistant principals, and/or teacher leaders who will lead the effort of creating and monitoring the Student Learning Objective process. This one day training created by CTAC and TEA includes an introduction to the SLO process, required forms, timelines, and access to the TEA support website.

This training supports Professional Goals for the following T-PESS Indicators:  

1B, 1C, 1D 2B, 2D 3A 4A, 4B 5A

Fee: $125 for 1 day of face-to-face training
